Yosemite 10.10.3 – F5 Big IP Edge VPN

So as any curious developer I installed the latest 10.10.3 beta Yosemite update. One issue from then on connecting to BigIP Edge Webclient would throw and SSL Connection Error, over and over…in FireFox, Safari, and Chrome.

So I had the IT administrator send me the F5-BigIP-Edge-Client for Mac, installing this solved my issue immediately. However, when I got home the issue changed…when I connected using the Client it would crash immediately…

Apparently there is a bug in this program with multiple monitors…to solve the issue I changed my Preferences to the following:

Hope this helps you if you happen to be in the same unusual boat as me…

  1. Thank you much for this info, it fixed me issue as well. I had the same issue, the minute VPN would connect it would crash after a few seconds.

  2. awesome, works for me too

indeed, the only option that looks to fail is ‘Display Traffic throughput in tray’
deselecting just this one was enough to fix the problem on my side

Thanks for your post, very helpful

  3. Thank you thank you thank you. Horrific day today. Bought a house two days ago. Checked through AT&T about high speed access. Suuuure, AT&T Uvers 18gb. AT&T guy got here, and I can’t even get 3mb.

I had to go out an buy cellular HomeBases for my office and house. Then I try to log into the edge client, and have gotten constant crashes. 😦 At least your post helped me with that. It owuld suck to be 900 miles form the office and have to commute every day.

  4. Thought I was going mad. Took a while to discover it was a monitor issue. How obscure! This is the only webpage I could fine that dealt with this F5 mac issues. Thanks so much. PJR
