One day later…

A Tech comes out and says all my stuff looks great…except my upstream signals which are all way low and failing. He calls his Supervisor and finds out it is an issue in my whole neighborhood (Louisville KY Story AVE area) with the 30.0-50.0 services…And a maintenance truck will come within 24-48 hours to resolve the issue.

So here is the question INSIGHTBB….if you know my neighborhood is having critical issues with 30.0-50.0 you need to call all the inflicted customers and switch them to 20.0 automatically DO NOT MAKE ME CALL YOU! My time is valuable. If you want my loyalty you need to work for me. Not make me work for you….I know more about my neighborhood’s network than most of the techs you send to my house…STOP WASTING MY TIME.

Especially when I think of the others who don’t know why their internet is messed up and are just stuck hating you’ll… BE MEN NOT MICE.

Attached is the application it runs at something like 100x speed I can easily slow this down since 100x is a little ridiculous but it is 1:45AM and i’m sleepy.   Perhaps if asked nicely i’ll upload the script in editable form.

PostMessage and SendMessage are two c/c++ functions that allow for a programmer to access Win32 API messaging.

The parameters required for these messages are hWnd, wMsg, wParam, lParam.

Details:

hWnd: This is the handle to the window that you wish to send a message to in this case that will be the aion.bin mainwindowhandle.

wMsg: This is the message that you plan on sending, generally to impersonate key presses you’ll need to send multiple messages, below is a simple list.

lParam: This is a structure and is quite complex. Since we are simply dealing with keypresses messaging this simplifies the lParam quite a bit.

Here is the bit mapping for the 32-bit

lParam: 0-15

Specifies the repeat count. The value is the number of times the keystroke is repeated as a result of the user holding down the key. The repeat count is always one for a WM_KEYUP message.

16-23 Specifies the scan code. The value depends on the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

24 Specifies whether the key is an extended key, such as the right-hand ALT and CTRL keys that appear on an enhanced 101- or 102-key keyboard. The value is 1 if it is an extended key; otherwise, it is 0.

25-28 Reserved; do not use.

29 Specifies the context code. The value is always 0 for a WM_KEYUP message.

30 Specifies the previous key state. The value is always 1 for a WM_KEYUP message.

Well simple if you know how to google.

Keywords, meta data, or tags are all the same thing for shit people might put into google.

It is simple really, when you go to google and you want to find red umbrellas you type red umbrellas…well if you use either text with red umbrellas or keywords/meta data/tags with that it makes it more search friendly so then you and your red umbrellas become number one on Google…number freaking one.

Google gets the high five for easy referencing.

Well finally i realized, I flashed the wrong bios version onto my motherboard.  And as i before mentioned the floppy wasn’t working…so the situation seemed hopeless at best.

Solution: Nero boot CD with the correct bios on it, and command line like a mother.  If you need more detail i can post but just comment and you’ll get all you want.

Needless to say don’t flash the wrong bios you won’t like the experience that follows.

Compass + maps = gps in a new way

Thanks again apple.

However I got my hands on one of the new iPhone 3GS and one of the most advertised features, Voice Control is as useless as it ever was on any other phone.  Thus far it has thought “Riza Vergara” was “Lisa Computer”, and “Mom” was “Carl White”.  Luckily for us this might be something apple will be looking into.  Until then it will be nothing but a sad day.  On a side note to this, no voice control really “works” they all sorta work, they are a novelty item something all phones have and that the people who use them must be the same people i listen read me books.  So no blame apple, just fix it.

update: nvm about the voice control seems like it works sometimes maybe it had to get to know my voice…after testing for around 10 minutes i found it to work pretty damn well on harser sounding names.

This being said its other awesome new features, Speed aren’t a load of donkey doo. The iPhone 3GS (S for Speed) is sporting a faster processor and twice the ram as its predecessor and because of this it is noticeably zippier.

The compass is nice, and will be even nicer when it is implemented in other apps (like GPS, tomtom!! come on tomtom! seriously tomtom).

The video and pictures are purely amazing and are a welcome addition.

Overall i’d say this is well worth the $300 for a 32GB iPhone 3GS the speed alone makes it worth it for any of us true techies.  However if you don’t get the AT&Ts helpful hand price then perhaps you should hold off, unless of course you know how to ebay your old iphone 3G and get about $300 easily…then go get a new iPhone already…didn’t you hear they’re out!

Not going to waste the time uploading images…this phone is a twin to it’s younger brother the iPhone 3G and thereby if you don’t know what it looks like you’ve been under a rock for a long long long long while.
